Thomas A. Faulhaber

 

Bullet  Professional practice is focused on client searches for and identification of strategic alliance opportunities, the negotiation of joint venture agreements, and the design and execution of the business strategies for the resulting alliances. Much of this work has joined US companies with partners in the European Union as well as with East Asian partners.

Bullet  Foundational experience gained as general partner of Ganteaume & McMullen in Boston for 18 years. This engineering design office grew to a staff of 75 to 100 persons, serving both basic and high-technology industries. Responsible for the planning, engineering design and construction management of industrial, research and commercial facilities up to 600,000 square feet.

Bullet  Partner-in-charge of Boston-based affiliate of Case and Company, Inc. a transnational management consultancy (member of the Association of Consulting Management Engineers). Directed strategic planning, profit improvement, and reorganization projects for diverse middle market industrial clients.

Bullet  Subsequently established and served as principal of Faulhaber & Company, Inc. and The Analysis & Planning Institute in Boston. These wholly-owned management support offices have spearheaded client efforts to establish economically attractive strategic alliances and joint ventures.

Bullet  Frequent contributor of papers to professional journals. Author of the pioneering book on manufacturing strategy, Manufacturing: Strategy for Growth and Change, published by the American Management Association; this work identified the strategic significance of the corporate manufacturing function and the ways in which these resources could be deployed most effectively.

Bullet  Governance of professional organizations as well as charitable institutions including Vice President and Director of the Institute of Management Consultants, Inc. Formerly listed in Who's Who in Commerce and Industry and Who's Who in the East.

Bullet  B.S., Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Civil Engineering); elected to Chi Epsilon (Civil Engineering) and Tau Beta Pi (Science and Engineering) Honor Societies. M.B.A., Graduate School of Business Administration, Harvard University. Registered professional engineer licensed to practice by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (12360).
